About Us
Our Chamber's vision is to be the business
voice of Paulding County and to advocate on
your behalf regarding issues that affect your
business. The Chamber is an effective liaison
between local business, elected officials and
community leaders. Speaking as one voice,
Chamber members have the power to strengthen
the prosperity of the business community for
our County, our Georgia and our United States
of America. We have access to
policymakers and sponsor programs and events to
keep our members informed and a part of pending
legislation.
As we work together to
take a stand for businesses and our community,
we realize the need to offer relevant
information to help you make prudent decisions
in the political process. The Advocacy section
of our website is an interactive tool for
election information, nonpartisan civic
participation and grassroots advocacy designed
to mobilize Chamber members regarding upcoming
issues and valuable election news.
On
the pages within this site, you can register to
vote, apply for an absentee ballot, learn more
about candidates, locate where you go to vote,
contact your elected officials and much more.
You are also able to independently contact
legislators to advocate issues important to
you.
I encourage you to actively voice
your opinion, as we observe federal legislative
activity moving forcefully during these
challenging economic times we must stand
together as the “Voice For
Business”. Infrastructure,
taxation and healthcare reform are high on the
Change Agenda. Our Washington affiliates - the
U.S. Chamber and the Georgia Chamber of
Commerce also warn us of anticipated
consideration of the Card Check bill which
would facilitate union organizing by
eliminating the employee's right to a secret
ballot. Stay tuned for updates from the Chamber
and for "Calls to Action" when most
appropriate.
Sincerely,
Carolyn S. Delamont
